How Dubai’s AI Camera Enforcement Works
The system moves beyond traditional patrols. AI-enabled cameras are installed on waste collection trucks, continuously scanning streets and public areas as they go about their routes. The artificial intelligence software instantly analyzes footage to identify offenses such as:
Illegal littering in public spaces
Improper disposal of bulky waste (e.g., furniture, appliances)
Unauthorized waste dumping
When a violation is detected, the system flags it with photographic evidence on a digital dashboard, allowing Dubai Municipality enforcement teams to respond swiftly and accurately.
Fines and the Pilot Project
